What We Believe

We are keepers,
not owners.

This is not a legal document. It is a statement of what we believe — about voice, about memory, and about what it means to leave something behind.

On Ownership

Your voice belongs to you.

Your recording is yours. Not ours. We are merely its keeper — the ones making sure it arrives exactly when and where you intended. You will always be able to come back and listen to what you left. Not because we are being generous, but because it belongs to you, and always will.

We hold it. You own it.

On Permanence

The version of you that showed up.

We believe the version of you that showed up on the day you recorded is the version they need to hear. The stumble before the right words came. The breath you took. The crack in your voice when you finally said what mattered most.

"That is not a flaw. That is the whole thing."

Listen anytime. Love forever. That is what we are here to protect — for as long as this matters, which is forever.

On Intention

A Chronicle is a sealed gift.

We believe that what you bring into a Chronicle matters. Love, memory, hope, wisdom, truth — the things you want them to carry forward into a life you can only imagine from where you stand today. Those are the things that belong here.

A Chronicle is not the place for old wounds. Not the place to settle scores or assign blame or leave behind something they were never meant to carry. It is a gift. We ask that it be given as one.

On the People We Record For

They would love to hear from you today.

Wherever you are right now — this is the right time. Whether you're here from a place of joy, or from a place of fear, or from somewhere in between — we see you. What you are leaving behind matters deeply.

And so do you. Right now. Today.

The people you just recorded for — the ones you love enough to leave your voice behind for — they would love to hear from you today. Not someday. Today. If you are carrying something heavy, please let someone know. The people in your Chronicle are a good place to start.

If you need support right now: call or text 988 — Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Sealed with intention.

When you press seal, this Chronicle enters something permanent. A promise from you, to the people you love, protected by us, waiting for them. We don't take that lightly — and we trust that you don't either.
