For hospice, palliative and oncology teams

What a family receives.

There is no sample recording to play here, and there never will be. A bedside session is a real family, in a real room, at the hardest hour of their lives — those recordings belong to the families they were made for, and to no one else. We will not stage one to show you.

Instead, here is exactly what happens — every question, every choice, and precisely what becomes of the recording afterward. Nothing hidden.

The session

One person reads the questions aloud. The room answers. It takes as long as the family needs — ten minutes, or an hour.

It begins with the good memories, and moves, in its own time, toward the things people most need to say. A family can stop whenever they want, and no one ever has to speak.

Going back
“What’s your earliest memory of them?”
Then: “Did it feel important at the time — or only later?”
“Tell them about the day you were born — the story you’ve always been told.”
Then, to them: “Do we have it right?” A nod is an answer.
“What’s a small, ordinary day with them that you’ve never forgotten?”
Saying the true thing
“Thank them out loud for a specific thing.”
“What did they teach you that you still use?”
“What’s something you’ve always wanted to say and never quite said?”
Carrying forward
“Tell them what you’ll carry forward.”
“What will people who never met them know about them, because of you?”
Their turn · anything else
“Is there anything you want to say to us? To any of us, while everyone’s here?”
Only if they are able. One sentence is a complete answer. So is a name.
Closing
“Let’s say the last things now.”

The full session moves through these in order, gently guided the whole way — including what to do if the person can no longer speak, and how to hold silence when it comes.

How the family chooses to close

Chosen at the start, so no one has to decide in the moment. They can change their mind when they get there.

With a prayer or a scripture
With something of theirs — a song, a poem, a line they always said
Just the last things, said out loud

What happens to the recording

In plain terms, because a family deserves to know before they begin.

It goes to one email address.Chosen before the session starts — the family’s, or a member who will share it with the rest. Whoever receives it can pass it to anyone they choose.
It arrives as a simple, quiet message. No branding, no sales, nothing to sign up for — just a link to the recording and a note that it’s saved and safe.
The family downloads and keeps their own copy. The file is theirs. We also keep a vaulted copy, should they ever need it.
They share it however they wish. Some families want it within the week, for a service. Others aren’t ready for years. It waits either way.
No one at Tomorrow From Today ever listens to it.We never listen, we never transcribe, and we never delete it. If a family asks us to write out a passage for a service, we will not — not even to help. They download the file and do it themselves, privately, without us.
For hospice families, this is free. Permanently. Not a trial, and not a step toward being sold anything later. There is no cost to your patients, and no cost to their families — ever.
