This is for a family gathered at a bedside. Enter the code you were given.
Someone reads a question out loud. The room answers. It begins with the good memories — the earliest ones, the ordinary days you never forgot — and moves, in its own time, toward the things people most need to say. There are no wrong answers, nobody has to speak, and you can stop whenever you want.
Everything here is meant to be heard now. Nothing is sealed away from the person in the bed. That the words are also kept is real, and it matters later — but it is not the point. The point is that it was said out loud, and that they were there for it.
If you are leading: read the question, then wait. You are welcome to answer too — going first often helps the others follow. You are not running a discussion, and you are not responsible for what anybody says or doesn’t say.
If nobody is talking, let the room stay quiet. Count to thirty. Then do it again. It takes people a moment to find the courage, or just the words. Tears are not a reason to stop — they usually mean it is working.
Some sessions take ten minutes. Some take over an hour. The right length is however long your family needs.
If a doctor or a nurse comes in, tap Pause. We stop recording the moment you tap, and nothing during the pause is captured. Tap Resume when the room is yours again.
Your phone will ask to use the microphone.
Before anyone starts
Like the closing, so no one has to decide in the moment. The leader answers some of these privately.
Families often need a moment at the end that lets them release their loved one. Choose now, so nobody has to decide later.
You can change your mind when you get there.
One address, before we start. Whoever receives it can share it with the rest of the family afterwards.
Your name — the chaplain, nurse or family member reading the questions. Not the name of the person in the bed.
If you are helping a family today, this should be their address, not yours.
One person reads the questions aloud. The room answers. It takes as long as the family needs. A family can stop whenever they want, and no one ever has to speak.
Leader’s note · every path. Answer to them, not about them. The reader can ask the room in the third person, but people answer to them: “Dad, I remember…” rather than “I remember Dad…”
Leader’s note · every path. If they get agitated or seem to be in pain, stop. The session doesn’t have to be finished. Picking it up tomorrow is fine.
We’ll send it here. Change it if that isn’t right.
It's yours now, and it always will be. We never listen to it, and we never delete it.
What happens to this recording. It is kept. It is never deleted, and nobody at Tomorrow From Today ever listens to it. Your family chooses who can hear it, and when.
Some families want it the same week, for a service. Others are not ready for years. Both are normal, and it waits either way.
The link in that email is how you reach it. Keep the email. If it is ever lost, or the address was wrong, write to contact@tomorrowfromtoday.com and a person will send it again.
For hospice families this is free, permanently. Not a trial, and not a step toward being sold something later.
You’re done. You can close this page.
Nobody is being recorded. We stopped the moment you tapped, and nothing since then was captured.
